Software Intro

CYPELUX is a professional lighting-design application for calculating and verifying normal lighting, emergency lighting and natural daylight within building projects. The software combines 2D and 3D lighting design with photometric calculations, regulatory checks and realistic lighting simulation using the Radiance analysis engine developed by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Overview

CYPELUX allows engineers and lighting designers to develop, analyse and verify lighting installations within a coordinated BIM environment.

Users can design normal, emergency and daylight systems, define luminaires and calculation areas, and evaluate illuminance, uniformity, glare and daylight performance. Lighting requirements can be based on standards such as EN 12464-1 or configured using customised project criteria.

The software includes automatic luminaire distribution, 3D modelling and scene rendering using the Radiance calculation engine. Architectural BIM models can also be imported through BIMserver.center, providing the building geometry required for accurate lighting analysis and multidisciplinary coordination.
