AcouBAT by CYPE analyses and verifies the acoustic performance of buildings, including indoor and outdoor airborne sound insulation, impact sound insulation, reverberation, sound absorption and noise generated by building equipment. Acoustic requirements can be checked against predefined regulations or customised project criteria.
A major capability is its integration with the CSTB-managed Acoubat database, providing tested acoustic characteristics for walls, floors, linings, openings, equipment and other construction products. The software can also evaluate direct and flanking transmission through building junctions.
BIM models can provide geometry and building information, allowing acoustic specialists to coordinate analyses within an Open BIM workflow and maintain project data as the building model develops.
