Open BIM Quantities extracts quantities from IFC building models and transforms them into structured bills of quantities, cost estimates and project reports.
Open BIM Quantities is a BIM-based quantity take-off and cost-estimation solution for extracting measurable information from IFC models. It allows quantity surveyors and project teams to define measurement rules, connect model components to cost items and automatically generate structured bills of quantities.
Overview
Open BIM Quantities is a quantity take-off and cost-estimation application that extracts measurement information directly from BIM models in IFC format.
Users can create measurement rules that convert BIM elements and their properties into quantities and bill-of-quantity items. Cost databases can then be applied to calculate project costs, while generated quantities remain linked to the BIM model for easier updating.
The software also supports manual measurements from 3D models and imported DXF, DWG, PDF or JPG drawings. Bills of quantities, reports and cost information can be exported for further project management and coordination through BIMserver.center.
