This training introduces participants to OpenUtilities Substation for intelligent electrical substation design workflows. Participants will learn how to understand the OUS environment, work with intelligent design features, navigate between schematic diagrams and 3D models, manage device and wire data, produce construction drawing annotations, and generate bill of materials reports for substation design documentation.

Overview of OUS (advantages, main functionality);

Intelligent designworkflow using OUS (work parallelly with primary design and secondary design).

Intelligent design features:

Vast collection of preloaded symbol in catalogue manager;

Intelligent wire connection and snapping;

Navigate between Single Line Diagram, Schematic Diagram and 3D model seamlessly of a specific symbol/equipment;

Link between 2D Schematic and Panel Layout;

Real time symbol cross-referencing;

Symbol creation.

Integrated 3D design:

Visualise equipment arrangement on-site;

Extensive IEC and ANSI compliant library of 3D elements;

Easy snap between elements using hook function;
