CYPE Architecture provides a flexible workflow for developing building designs from their earliest conceptual stages through to detailed BIM modelling. Its tools are organised into three main environments: Sketch, Architecture and Furniture.
The Sketch environment includes traditional modelling functions such as lines, arcs, polygons, surfaces, intersections, offsets, scaling and extrusion. These tools allow designers to explore building forms, floor-plan arrangements and volumetric concepts before converting them into architectural elements.
The Architecture environment provides intelligent BIM tools for modelling walls, floor slabs, roofs, beams, columns, curtain walls, louvres, railings, suspended ceilings, doors, windows, skylights, staircases, ramps and lifts. Building elements can be classified using levels, types, tags and editable visibility layers.
Spaces can be defined for indoor and outdoor areas, including parking spaces, and may contain information such as their category, level, type, height and surface area. The Furniture environment includes furniture, sanitary appliances, household equipment and garden elements that help communicate the intended use and arrangement of each space.
CYPE Architecture supports the import of DWG, DXF, PDF and image templates. IFC models from other disciplines can also be imported through BIMserver.center and used as three-dimensional references for multidisciplinary coordination.
The completed architectural model can provide information to structural programs such as CYPECAD and CYPE 3D, as well as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, energy, acoustic and quantity-estimation applications. It can also generate analytical models for thermal and acoustic simulation and supply model information to Open BIM Quantities.
The software generates architectural sheets and carpentry drawings and can export models and documentation in IFC, glTF, FBX, DWG, DXF, PDF, JPG and PNG formats. PDF reports can also be produced for building envelopes, partitioning systems and space-area tables.
CYPE Architecture can be used for:
These applications reflect CYPE Architecture’s combined sketching, building-element modelling, space management, documentation and Open BIM interoperability tools.
