CYPETHERM

CYPETHERM performs building energy simulations, thermal-load calculations and energy-improvement studies within an integrated Open BIM workflow.

Software Intro

CYPETHERM is an integrated building-performance application for carrying out energy simulations, calculating heating and cooling loads and assessing energy-efficiency improvements. It can develop the thermal model from imported BIM information or allow users to define the building and its thermal properties directly within the program.

Overview

CYPETHERM is an integrated building-energy analysis application for energy simulation, thermal-load calculations and the assessment of energy-efficiency improvements.

The software can simulate building energy performance using the EnergyPlus calculation engine and calculate heating and cooling loads using recognised methods such as ASHRAE RTSM. Users can define building geometry, thermal zones, construction systems, internal conditions and HVAC-related parameters or import information from coordinated BIM models.

CYPETHERM also allows engineers to compare alternative building designs and improvement measures, helping evaluate energy demand, thermal performance and potential efficiency improvements within an Open BIM workflow.
